Collection Care

Preservation Services for collections of all sizes

Collection care is the preventive actions taken to preserve objects and collections for future generations.

From individual objects through to national institutions, my collection care consulting services are as broad and diverse as the collections that capture our history. I can provide simple tips through to comprehensive reports that are instrumental in gaining funding and grants or providing clear comprehensive directions for your organisation.

I have over 25 years of experience working with the diversified collections of the GLAM sector throughout Australia. I know our cultural heritage collections have unique needs with limited resources and varied challenges and I embrace these distinctive elements of our collective history. My collection care services and expertise amplify my clients with the preservation of their collections.

I have highlighted below some of the specialised services and past projects, and there are many more. Please get in touch to discuss your collection needs.

    Disaster Planning, Response & Recovery

We are living through unprecedented times. Natural disasters are occurring more frequently and more severely. Floods, fires, storms, leaking buildings, mould and dust storms are just some of the disasters that can cause damage to your collection.

    Are you PREPARED?

I can help you edit, re-write or guide you through the disaster plan process. A disaster plan can help focus resources, allocate budgets and bring a team together. The plan might seem like a big job, however I can help make it simple, straight forward and achievable.

Have you been impacted by a DISASTER?
